Chinese developers increase their investments in promotion on RuStore five-fold
Chinese game developers spent more than 60 million rubles to promote applications pubished on the Russian application store RuStore through the VK Advertising platform from January to November 2024. Advertising expenditures of Chinese developers in the third quarter of this year increased 5 times compared to the first quarter.
Strategy and RPG games are the most actively promoted genres, with entertainment apps among the leaders in other categories.
"We strive to provide the necessary infrastructure for the adaptation and promotion of foreign titles on the Russian market. Developers can, for instance, use the VK Advertising platform to promote their apps. Chinese game publishers are most interested in monetization and advertising to attract new paying users. Compared to the first quarter of 2024, Chinese game studios' average check for advertising on RuStore in the third quarter increased by 40%,” said Ilya Ulyanov, Director of Business Development at RuStore.
