GameOn Licenses Allods Online for Japan
Moscow, Russia & Tokyo, Japan — February 09, 2010 — Mail.Ru Inc. is pleased to announce that GameOn Co., Ltd. will publish the award-winning Allods Online, developed by Astrum Nival game studio, for Japanese community, where GameOn is a leading online game operator with several years of experience and a diverse portfolio of popular free to play offerings. The companies are cooperating closely to establish a timeline for localization into Japanese, beta testing and launch.
Allods Online title is the Russian game development industry's project from Astrum Nival game development studio, owned by Mail.Ru Inc. Allods Online brings MMO fans across the world into a universe of epic fantasy and fierce conflict with a deep and captivating storyline. Allods Online takes place after the destruction of the planet of Sarnaut and the subsequent formation of the Allods, these mystical islands float in the Astral, an expansive living substance that makes up the compelling game world. Adventurers will explore the numerous Allods as they battle against a wide range of enemies – and each other.
Some other notable elements are a crafting system based on mini-games, a vast array of over 1500 quests, many of which help advance the deep storyline by revealing the history and secrets of the universe, eight archetypes, 28 classes, six races and two factions. Characters are free to explore perilous areas, socialize in guilds, earn money by crafting, participate in massive PvP battles, and will feature classic fantasy MMORPG gameplay that fans of the genre’s most successful titles can enjoy. It features extensive questing, intense player-versus-player combat, grand exploration, in-depth character development and plenty of social interaction. In the Astral, players will have the chance to put their wits and brawn to the test in Astral battles, the game’s giant fights between competing Astral ships manned by multiple players.
