21 Oct. 2010, Moscow. Allods Online (http://allods.mail.ru), the high-profile game developed by Mail.Ru, is now officially released.

Allods Online is a game with a long and glorious history. First game Allods: The Seals of Mystery that marked the beginning of the series in 1998 has become one of the most favorite and popular nationally developed games. And now, Allods Online is the first full-fledged Russian MMO project released in the West. The global testing of the game by millions of players around the world lasted a whole year. And today, October 19, the long-awaited launch of the official version is made: the legendary Allods is back – upgraded and upscaled!

Allods Online is a free multiplayer role-playing online game complimented by the press as the “great national MMORPG”. The game’s story is set in a universe reigned by the Astral – a dangerous and volatile magic substance that split the world, solid at one time, into separate islands – allods. Players travel between allods to explore them using their own astral ships, overcoming magical anomalies, warped space and other dangers of the Astral. The islands have different landscapes, histories and their own secrets. Six game races that form two competing factions, a compelling storyline unveiling the past and the present of the Allods’ universe, fantastic astral landscapes – adventuring in the Allods Online world is a truly immersive experience.

With the official release, the world of Allods Online has grown immensely. The game now offers 22 new locations, more than a thousand and a half new assignments – individual, group- and guild-based. We have revised the strengths and weaknesses of the classes, introduced rapid movement across allods and the Astral, finalized the game interface and added new music tracks.

The new version of the game has been launched on all servers. Getting into Allods Online is easy: download the client from the official game site or update your beta version client. Also, the Collector's DVD Edition of Allods Online will be released in the nearest future.
