О мероприятии

14 July will bring the lecture “H20 from ML perspective” by Raymond Peck

H2O is the leading open source big data machine learning platform. This talk will cover the distributed parallel in-memory data storage and compute architecture. We will then move on to examples of using H2O from R, Python, Java and Scala. Depending on interest, we can also cover Deep Learning in H2O, integration of H2O into smart applications, and/or the optional integration with Spark.

Raymond comes to H2O as the Director of Product Engineering after a long and varied career in the startup world. He’s probably best known for being a co-founder of Pure Software where he worked on Purify and Quantify, the first two software development tools to take apart compiled code and enhance it to add error-checking and performance instrumentation.

Since then he lead the engineering team and hacked on live streaming video at major CDN BitGravity / Tata Communications, implemented the back end for voice- and CSR-ordering applications at Jacent, was an engineering project manager at iCommerce. . . and most recently did the customer-facing metadata API at Platfora. Back in the dinosaur days he worked for his one and only large company, LSI Logic, where he was part of a team of 4 which implemented the CPU in the Playstation 1 and PSP.
